A bomb blast ripped through a Shia mosque in Afghanistan’s northern Baghlan Province on Friday, killing at least 17 people and injuring 20 others, officials said.
The explosion occurred during Friday prayers at the Imam Zaman mosque in Pul-e-Khumri, the provincial capital, according to Mohammad Safdar Mohseni, the head of the provincial council.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
