In the midst of the escalating conflict between Israel and Hamas, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov has voiced his support for Palestine and offered to send his soldiers as peacekeepers to the region. Kadyrov made the statement in a video message posted on the messaging app Telegram.
Kadyrov urged the leaders of Muslim nations to form a coalition and reach out to their Western allies to stop the bombing of civilians in Gaza. He also appealed to the international community to “make a fair decision regarding Palestine at least once.” He said that Chechnya supports Palestine and is against the war, which he warned could escalate into something bigger.
“If necessary, our units are ready to act as a peacekeeping force to restore order and counter any troublemakers,” Kadyrov said, adding that he was ready to personally participate in the mission.
