The European Union’s approach to the Ukraine crisis has been a “complete failure”, according to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who called for a “plan B” that would prioritize peace and stability in the region.

Orban, who has often clashed with Brussels over migration and rule of law issues, said the EU’s sanctions and diplomatic pressure on Russia have not yielded any results, and have only increased the risk of a military escalation.
