The G20 Summit, one of the most important global gatherings of the year, kicked off in New Delhi on Friday, September 8, 2023. The summit brings together leaders of the world’s largest economies to discuss issues such as trade, climate change, and global security. However, the summit also faces challenges such as the absence of some key players, the ongoing war in Ukraine, and the COVID-19 pandemic.

The host of the summit, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, welcomed the attendees with a message of unity and cooperation. He said that the G20 has a “unique responsibility” to shape a “more resilient and inclusive” post-pandemic world. He also highlighted India’s achievements in vaccinating its population, boosting its economy, and promoting renewable energy.
