North Korea marked its 75th founding anniversary on Saturday with a paramilitary parade attended by leader Kim Jong Un.

The parade, which took place at Kim Il Sung Square in Pyongyang, featured rocket launchers pulled by trucks and tractors, as well as public security forces and workers’ militias, according to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

Kim Jong Un, who wore a black suit and a red tie, observed the parade from a balcony and waved to the cheering crowd. He was accompanied by his daughter and other senior officials, KCNA said.

North Korea has held three military parades in the past year, showcasing its latest weapons and capabilities. In January, it unveiled a new submarine-launched ballistic missile and a solid-fuel intercontinental ballistic missile.
