Russian President Vladimir Putin made a rare foreign visit to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, seeking to strengthen Moscow’s ties with the two Gulf allies and boost its influence in the Middle East at the time when Israeli war crimes in Gaza sparked.

Putin was welcomed by Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
