Saudi Arabia has issued a warning to its citizens in Lebanon to leave the country “immediately” amid rising tensions and violence in the region.
The statement came as Lebanon witnessed a surge of protests and clashes in support of the Palestinian cause and against Israel’s war crimes in Gaza.
Saudi Arabia has been one of the main supporters of the Abraham Accords, a series of agreements to normalize relations between Israel and several Arab states, which were signed in 2020 with the mediation of the United States.
