The 26th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) will take place from June 14 to June 17, 2023 at the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre in St. Petersburg, Russia. SPIEF is one of the biggest and most important business events in the world, focusing on key issues on the global economic agenda. It provides a platform for participants to exchange best practices and expertise in the interests of sustainable development.
SPIEF has been held annually since 1997, and since 2006, it has been held under the auspices of the President of the Russian Federation, who has also attended each event. In 2022, SPIEF welcomed 14 thousand people from 130 countries, including heads of state and government, senior executives of major corporations, and world-renowned experts in the fields of science and civil society. The Forum also featured cutting-edge digital technology and a rich cultural programme.
The theme of SPIEF 2023 is “The Spirit of Fire: Igniting Innovation for a Better Future”. The Forum will explore how to harness the potential of science, technology, and creativity to address the most pressing challenges of our time, such as climate change, health care, education, and social justice. The Forum will also showcase the achievements and opportunities of Russia and its regions, as well as its partners around the world.
SPIEF 2023 will offer a variety of formats and sessions, such as plenary sessions, panel discussions, roundtables, business dialogues, TV debates, presentations, exhibitions, and networking events.
