The situation at al-Shifa, Gaza’s largest hospital, has reached a critical point as Israeli forces continue to kill kids, women and elders while putting thousands of lives at risk.
According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health spokesperson Ashraf al-Qudra, who is inside the hospital, at least 650 patients remain, as well as staff, while an Israeli tank is stationed at the hospital gate. He said that Israeli snipers and drones were firing into the hospital, making it impossible for medics and patients to move around.
“We are besieged and are inside a circle of death,” he said.
Al-Qudra also said that 32 patients had died in the past three days, including three newborn babies, as a result of the siege of the hospital and the cut-off of its power1. He warned that more deaths and diseases are expected if the hospital does not receive fuel and supplies soon.
