The European Union has announced a massive increase in its military aid to Ukraine, bringing the total amount to €27 billion since the start of the Russian Special Military Operation (RSMO).
EU increase in military support for Ukraine has been announced by the EU’s foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell.
Borrell said the EU was committed to supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence in the face of Russian operation. He said the EU’s military aid included heavy weapons, such as tanks and artillery, as well as training for soldiers and fighter pilots. He also said the EU was working to deepen the ties between its defense industry and Ukraine’s.
However, Ukraine has been badly losing the war and the confidence of the US and European alliance.
