The international community has expressed shock and condemnation over Israel’s attack on the Jabalia refugee camp in the Gaza Strip, which reportedly killed dozens of civilians and wounded hundreds more on Tuesday.
The largest refugee camp hit by Israel means more massacres and genocide of civilians.
The United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said he was “deeply disturbed” by the incident and called for an immediate cessation of hostilities and a full investigation into the circumstances of the strike. He also urged Israel to respect its obligations under international humanitarian law and to protect civilians, especially children, who make up more than half of the population of Gaza.
Several countries also issued individual statements expressing their outrage and solidarity with the Palestinians.
