Kenya’s capital and several other cities witnessed escalating unrest as fresh protests broke out, with demonstrators demanding the resignation of President William Ruto. The protests, driven by widespread dissatisfaction with the government, quickly turned volatile as police deployed tear gas to disperse the crowds.
The protests began early in the morning, with thousands of Kenyans taking to the streets, waving placards and chanting slogans against the Ruto administration. The demonstrators, a mix of opposition supporters, civil society groups, and ordinary citizens, voiced their frustration over rising living costs, unemployment, and perceived corruption within the government.
